In Loving Memory of Jorge Ador-Dionisio
Jorge Ador Dionisio passed away peacefully at home on August 9, 2023. Born in Manila, Philippines, on August 24, 1946, his family was his heart and life's purpose. He was a devoted husband to Kaye, his partner of nearly 45 years. He was an unconditionally proud and supportive Dad to Kara (Ador-Dionisio) and Anna (Cowen), known simply to their Dad as Bear and Bean; his girls were his world. He eventually (and not even reluctantly) welcomed his dashing sons-in-law, Ryan Turner and Darrell Cowen. But his greatest joy came from his cherished grandchildren, Elly & Leo and Myles & Nolan, who miss their Papa / Lolo with all their hearts.
Jorge is survived by his beloved siblings, his sister Nette Devilla (and her late husband Guillermo De Villa) and his brother Saturnino Ador-Dionisio (and his wife Evelyn). His niece Eileen Devilla, notably supported him and our family in his last months. He cherished all his nieces & nephews and great-nephews who loved their “Uncle Bam” dearly.
Dr. Jorge Ador-Dionisio graduated from the University of the East in Manila, Philippines, in 1973 before embarking on his radiology residency at McMaster University in Canada.
He graduated in 1979, marked by the passing of his final board exams the day his first daughter was born (and as John McEnroe won the US Open).
With a career spanning over 40 years, Dr. Dionisio played a pivotal role in establishing the radiology department of Grey Bruce Health Services, serving as Chief Radiologist for over a decade.
Jorge's beautiful and skilled guitar playing was the soundtrack of our childhood and the heart of our home. He approached life with curiosity and an out-of-the-box mindset, embracing lifelong learning, many (often quirky) hobbies and passions, and gathering numerous friendships along the way.
This year literally broke our hearts; your love and support through this difficult time have meant the world to us.
As we come up on one year since his passing, we invite you to gather with us to finally celebrate Jorge's life on Saturday August 10th, 2024 between 1-3 pm at Cobble Beach.
If desired, remembrances may be made to Brightshores Foundation Medical Imaging (MRI).

"The Young Ones"
(One of Dad’s Favourite Songs)
The young ones
Darling, we're the young ones
And young ones
Shouldn't be afraid
To live, love
While the flame is strong
'Cause we may not be the young ones
Very long
.
.
And some day
When the years have flown
Darling, then we'll teach the young ones
Of our own
-The Young Ones, Cliff Richards
“Beyond the door
There's peace, I'm sure
And I know there'll be no more
Tears in heaven”
-Tears in Heaven, Eric Clapton

“Today, while the blossoms still cling to the vine
I'll taste your strawberries, I'll drink your sweet wine
A million tomorrows shall all pass away
'Ere I forget all the joy that is mine, Today”

🎵 Mr. Sandman
Angel of God, my guardian dear,
to whom God’s love commits me here,
ever this day be at my side,
to light and guard, to rule and guide.
Amen.
